Trademark registration is expensive?
No, trademark registration is a long term investment. Once registered, the trademark will be valid and effective for a period of 10 years and renewable after every 10 years. The total cost for a trademark registration is RM2XXX. In other words, you are paying only RM2XX for each year.
Our Key Person
Khang Juin (KJ Chin) read law at University of Malaya. In 2014, he graduated from University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Laws Degree LL.B. (Hons). KJ completed his pupillage and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya (Malaysia) in 2015. He commenced his legal practice in a law firm handling mainly corporate legal works including merger and acquisition of companies and drafting of agreements. In 2016, he joined Henry Goh & Co in the Trade Marks Department as a Legal Executive. He was made a Legal Counsel after 2 years. KJ went on to establish his own practice (i.e. KJ Intellectual Property) in 2019. He is now a registered Patent Agent, Trademark Agent, and Industrial Design Agent with the MyIPO.
In 2023, he has been officially registered and recognized as a Franchise Consultant by the Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri Dan Kos Sara Hidup (KPDN), and handling matters relating to business franchising and commercial arrangements.
